"Skeletons Could Shed Light on Indus Valley Civilization": The Archaeology Magazine  (April 15, 2015) "The well-preserved skeletons were discovered in sandy soil, and the joint team of scientists from Deccan College, the Haryana Archaeology Department, and Seoul National University in South Korea will attempt to collect DNA samples from the bones."

"Ancient skeletons found in India": BBC NEWS (15 April 2015): "The ancient Harappan civilisation dates back around 4,000 years and was first discovered at Mohenjo Daro in what is now Pakistan in the 1920s. The remains recovered from a cemetery in the northern state of Haryana are of two adult males, a female and a child. Scholars hope the latest find will shed new light on the Harappan people. Archaeologists and scientists from India and South Korea have been carrying out excavations at the cemetery at Rakhigarhi village in Haryana's Hissar district since 2013...."

"Virtual Harappans to come alive": The Hindu (MAY 03, 2015)

"DNA of a civilisation": Frontline (May 29, 2015): "The facial bones of two skeletons are intact. Shinde said software developed by forensic scientists of Seoul National University to reconstruct facial features from skeletons would come in handy to reconstruct the Harappan man. “With the help of this software, we can analyse the height of the Harappan person, his facial and body features, and the colour of his skin, eyes and hair....."

"In search of the Harappan DNA": Forbes India (Jun 22, 2015): "At the start of Shinde’s career in 1979, such possibilities were in the realm of science fiction. But 35 years later, his ambition and hope is propelled by the potential and increasing probability of success in this field The failure in Farmana was a lesson; much before the Rakhigarhi discovery, he had reached out to Dr Dong Hoon Shin, a forensic scientist and professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine, who has, in the past, worked on 300- to 500-year-old mummies in South Korea. Together, they devised a protocol that the team would follow should they unearth more skeletons in future."

"No Rakhigarhi migration since Harappan era: Experts": Tribune (Jun 16, 2018): Professor Shinde stated that facial reconstruction and physical appearance of the skeletons had striking similarity with current inhabitants of Haryana and Punjab. He said facial reconstruction and pathological studies were being carried out in the Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea.
