페루 쿠스코 제11차 Mummy Congress 보고(5) 미라 연구 25년 결산
이번 학회는 필자에게 있어서도
1시간 반이란 시간을 받아 필자의 25년 작업을 정리하는
귀한 기회가 있었던 덕분에 나름의 감회가 없을 수 없겠다.
그런데 돌이켜 보면, 필자가 이 작업을 처음한 시기-.
필자가 이에 관련하여 처음으로 학계에 조선시대 미라 존재를 보고한 논문이
2003년에 처음 제출되었는데,
그 논문 두 편이 바로 필자가 단국대 재직시절 조사에 참여한
소년 미라에 대한 논문으로 아래와 같다.

이 논문은 두 편 모두 SCI 급 학술지에 출판되었는데,
2003년에 출판한 논문 기반이 된 소년 미라 조사가 2001년 당시 이루어졌으니,
올해로 필자의 조선시대 미라 연구는 정확히 24년째가 되는 셈이 되겠다.
연구 24년째에 비로소 필자의 연구사에서도 의미있는
연구 작업의 정리를 기조강연 형태로 마무리할 수 있게 해 주신
이번 학회의 주최 측에 다시 한번 감사를 드린다.
