Salvage of a 600-year-old Korean shipwreck has completed

Korean underwater archaeologists recently completed the salvage of the 600-year-old Joseon Dynasty-era sunken ship, the Mado No. 4. 

The ship's existence was first discovered about a decade ago, and its salvage has now been completed. 

The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, which is in charge of the investigation, will soon announce its findings. 

The ship was discovered off the west coast of the Korean Peninsula, off Taean County in North Chungcheong Province. This area is notorious for its strong currents, causing countless ships to sink. 

The ship is believed to have sunk around 1420.
