담양 식영정潭陽息影亭

Sikyeongjeong Pavilion, Damyang-gun County, Cheollanamdo Province

Boasting of a beautiful landscape, the Sikyeongjeong Pavilion has been said that even the shadow of the moon takes a rest here. Sikyeonggjeong, literally even the shadow of the moon takes a rest, is located between two mountains facing Gwangjuho Lake and Mudeungsan Mountain. It was established by Kim Seongwon in 1560 for his father-in-law. Many famous writers visited the pavilion to enjoy the beautiful surroundings here.

With a single-story house of 2-kan (area unit) in the front and 2-kan on the side, the house is divided into two sections, one ondol room and a spacious floor.
