Museums in Seoul closed amid 'Covid-19' spread

National Palace Museum inside Gyeongbokgung Palace will be closed 




In response to the Seoul City's request for cooperation in strengthening quarantine measures due to the spread of 'Covid-19' infection, the Cultural Heritage Administration will close indoor national and public facilities in the metropolitan area, including the National Palace Museum, from the 5th to the 18th for two weeks.

 

The places closed by this measure include the National Palace Museum, as well as the entire indoor viewing facilities such as Deoksugung Seokjojeon and Jungmyeongjeon, located in the palace and tomb of the Joseon Dynasty.


Gyeongbokgung Palace will be open in spite of  'Covid-19' spread

 

 

However, outdoor viewing facilities such as palaces (Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, Deoksugung), Jongmyo, Sungnyemun, Sajikdan, and Joseon Royal Tombs will be excluded from this measure and will operate normally.
