한일 국교 정상화 60주년 기념전 개최!


국립중앙박물관이 도쿄국립박물관과 함께 한일 국교 정상화 60주년을 기념해 일본미술을 새로운 시각에서 조망하고자 하는 특별전 '일본미술, 네 가지 시선'을 공동 개최한다고 16일 말했다.

이번 전시는 두 박물관이 엄선한 소장품 62건을 중심으로 뽑아 일본미술이 지닌 외적 아름다움과 내면의 정서를 감상할 수 있도록 구성했다고 한국 박물관 측은 덧붙였다.

이를 위해 이 자리는 화려한 장식성(飾り), 이에 대비되는 절제된 미(「反」飾り), 자연의 변화에 대한 애잔한 정서(あはれ), 유쾌하고 재치 있는 자유분방한 표현(遊び)이라는 네 가지 시선을 통해 일본미술을 조명한다고 한다.

이 요소들은 서로 유기적으로 어우러지며 일본인의 삶과 세계관을 보여준다고.

일본미술의 시각적 매력을 넘어서, 그 내면에 흐르는 사유와 감성을 오롯이 경험하는 기회가 될 것이라고 한국 박물관 측은 덧붙였다. 

To commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the normal ization of relations between the Republic of Korea and Japan, the National Museum of Korea and the Tokyo National Museum have joined forces to present Japanese Art from Four Perspectives, a special exhibition shining light on Japanese art from fresh perspectives.

Through the years, the two institutions have closely collaborated on numerous projects aimed at promoting understand ing of their respective histories and cultures. It is these efforts that have led to this meaningful opportunity to introduce Japanese art to a Korean audience.

Featuring sixty-two works specially selected by the Tokyo National Museum and the National Museum of Korea, the exhibition is designed to offer visitors a visual and emotional experience through the outward beauty and inner sentiments of Japanese art.

To this end, Japanese art is considered from four fascinating perspectives, in terms of its splendid ornamentation (kazari), the contrasting aesthetics of restraint (hankazari), emotions related to the ephemeral transformations of nature (aware), and a light-hearted spirit of humor and leisure (asobi).
 
Here, these four elements are organically interwoven to reflect the lives and worldview of the Japanese people. Thus, the exhibition offers the unique opportunity to experience not only the visual allure of Japanese art, but also the thoughts and emotions that flow within it.

We hope that these four fundamental perspectives will help to provide visitors with a deeper appreciation of Japanese art and a broader understanding of Japanese culture as a whole.
