慶尙北道慶州市皇龍寺址木塔址
Its foundation was square, 22.5m each side, on which 8 x 8 foundation stones were found. The wooden pagoda, which was estimated 80m high was erected by Queen Seondeok of the Silla Kingdom in 645, completely destroyed by fire in 1238 during the Mongol Invasion. The temple compound including the stupa site has been excavated since 1970s by the government.
