Located on the slope of the mountain, the stone-lined tombs were made using river boulders.

The janggun is a long, small-sized bowl used to hold liquids such as water, alcohol, and soy sauce.
Pottery from Tomb No. 8
Bang Mina, a researcher at the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Research Institute said "jangguns have been excavated mainly from Manhan, Baekje tombs or fortresses such as Wangju Sangun-ri Tumulus, Gunsan Sangwoli Tumulus, Seoul Mongchontosung fortress, and others," "the fact that Gaya pottery has came together with a Baekje janggun shows that the group residing in this area had communicated with other forces. "
In addition, from Tomb No. 9 two silver rings, iron axes, arrowheads, earthenware, and horse curbs, from Tomb No. 10 small jars and iron spears have been unearthed.
Ironware from Tomb No. 8
In the first survey last year, twelve rectangular stone lined burials 13 pit tombs were excavated, and a jade colored in five-orientation colors were found along with a pentagon pommeled sword.
Researcher Bang said, "the group that created these Samgo-ri Tombs seems to be different from the group of the neighboring Dongcheon Tumulus and the Sambong Tumulus, and they do not appear to be the ruling class, but many artifacts are being excavated. It seems that the forces that left Namyang-ri ruins, an Iron Age site adjacent to this place, grew and dominated the area around Samgo-ri Tombs. "
