Mt. Emei 峨眉山 아미산

 

Located at the western rim of the Sichuan Basin in Sichuan Province, China, Mount Emei (峨眉山) is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. At 3,099 metres (10,167 ft), Mt. Emei was enlisted on the the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1996.

현행 외래어 표기법으로는 어메이산이라 하지만 아미산峨眉山이다. 중국 사천성 불교 명승지로, 특히 보현보살 성지로 통한다. 1996년 12월 6일, 유네스코 복합유산에 등재되었다. 가장 높은 데가 해발 3,098m인 만불정이다.
