K-pop boy band BTS released the latest single, "Dynamite," at 1 p.m. Friday, Seoul time. The song has topped more than 100 regional iTunes charts according to its agency Big Hit Entertainment on Saturday.

The bright, upbeat disco-pop track, sung entirely in English, is the group's latest release following the album "Map of the Soul: 7 — The Journey" released in Japan in July.

 

 

"We wanted to try something that was light and mindlessly exciting. We had a blast recording the song, dancing in the studio," BTS leader RM said. "We had the urge to share the song as soon as possible while still working on it, hoping to offer a boost of spiritual energy to fans."
