Korean people seldom pick persimmons at the tops of the trees so that birds, such as magpies, can eat them.
Such treetop persimmons are often called "kkachibap 까치밥," which means food for magpies.
However, in any rural area of Korea, where all young people have left, when the season turns into winter, all the persimmon trees are covered with kkachibap.
