성기性器 숭배는 전 세계적으로 광범위하게 나타나는 종교적 주술 행위로, 남녀의 생식기를 생명의 근원으로 여겨, 그 형태나 모형물을 신앙의 대상으로 삼는다. 현재 전승되는 성기性器 관련 신앙은 사람의 성기처럼 생긴 돌이나 지형地形을 기자祈子(자식을 기원함) · 마을수호 · 풍요 기원의 대상으로 숭배하거나, 남녀 성기의 모형을 나무 · 돌 · 토기 등으로 만들어 마을의 수호신으로 받들어 모신다. 

Phallicism is a type of religious sorcery that can be found widely throughout the world. It regards male and female reproductive organs as the origin of life and worships objects made in their image. Phallicism in Korea venerated rocks and geographical features shaped like male or female sexual organs as objects to pray for childbirth, village protection, and abundance. Models of sexual organs were also carved of wood or stone or shaped with clay and
worshiped as village guardians.

生殖器崇拜现象在全世界广泛存在, 是一种宗教性质的巫术行为, 男女生殖器被认为是生命的起源, 以其形态或模型物为信仰对象。传承至今的生殖器信仰是以形似人类生殖器的石头或地形等作为子、守护村庄和保佑丰收的对象予以薪, 用木、石、
制作的神。加以崇拜。

 

性器に対する崇拝は世界的に広い範囲にわたって現れる呪術行為で、男女の生殖器を生命の根本と見なして、その形態や模型を信仰の対象とする。今まで伝承されてきた性器に関わる信仰は、男女の性器の形に似た形の石や地形を子宝
祈願、村の安全祈願、豊作祈願の対象として信仰したり、木や石、土器などで男女の性器をかたどり、村の守り神として崇拝するものである。
