BLACKPINK Lisa's first solo single hits 700,000 pre-orders in four days

SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Yonhap) -- Lisa's first solo album surpassed 700,000 pre-orders in just four days since its pre-sale. 

According to her agency YG Entertainment on the 31st, her single "LALISA" recorded more than 700,000 pre-orders by the 30th after pre-sale began on the 26th.

Although it is a mid-term tally, it is already the highest pre-orders for single albums by K-pop female solo artists. As there are about 10 days left until the release date, the number of orders is expected to increase further, the agency said. 

 

Lisa will release her solo debut single "Lalisa" at 1 p.m. on the 10th of next month (as of Korean time). The album will be released in three formats: CD, Kit (KiT) and LP. 

BLACKPINK, which has emerged as a global girl group, has strong star power of each member. The solo debut single "R," released by main vocalist Rose in March, has achieved a "half million seller" with accumulated sales of more than 500,000 copies. 

Lisa, the main dancer, boasts high popularity and influence with her attractive performance. The agency predicted that it will showcase "the best performance beyond the charisma he has ever shown and the music that has melted Lisa's identity."
