(Yonhap) Photos by Yoo Hyung-jae [Yoo Hyung-jae, who took these pictures, is a photo reporter at Yonhap News Agency who specializes in the ecological field.] (END) 2023. 5. 14. 백제 꼭대기를 올라탄 봉황 혹은 주작 부여 능산리 절터 이른바 공방 추정 건물터 출토 백제금동대향로 꼭대기를 장식한 새다. 이에서 영감 얻은 싸이가 새 라는 노래를 불렀다. 그 정체는 봉황 혹은 주작임은 분명하나, 뭐 어차피 봉황이건 주작이건 누구도 본 놈은 없으니 아무렴 어떠리오? 2023. 5. 12. 올해는 건너뛰는 작약 화단 한두 그루로 감상하는 그런 꽃이 아니다. 떼거리가 빛을 발하는 그런 꽃이 작약이다. 올해는 화단으로 달랠 수밖에 2023. 5. 12. 매발톱? 닭발? 할매 벙거지? 이 친구가 외래종인가 아닌가는 모르겠는데 오월 무렵엔 흔히 보는 꽃 중 하나니 이름이 매발톱꽃 이라 하는데 어디를 두고 매발톱이라 하는지 궁금하기 짝이 없다. 이걸 보면 매발톱 같이 생긴 것도 같고 그럴 거 같으면 더 친숙한 닭발이 낫지 않겠는가? 새발톱이 매가 다르고 닭이 다르고 비둘기가 크게 다를 건 없다. 다 거기서 거기라 피장파장 똥끼나 밑끼나다. 매가 귀하다 할 순 없겠지만 일상에서 자주 보기는 힘든 맹금류다. 어릴 적 가끔 낙오한 놈 잡아다가 개구락지 잡아먹여주고 키워주고 해서 날려보낸 기억이 있다만 괴기 구경 못한 그 시절에도 매는 백숙한 적이 없다. 이 친구 내력이 궁금한 김에 뒤져봤더니 학명이 Aquilegia, 아퀼레기아? 정도로 읽으면 되지 않을까 싶은데 이런 학명이야 라틴어를 기반으.. 2023. 5. 9.
