유사의학과 유사인문학의 경계에서 협동연구, 학제간 연구, 통섭적 연구 다 비슷한 소리인데 결국 어떤 사실을 규명하기 위해서는 분과적 시각을 극복하고 다양한 시각에서 바라봐야 한다는 뜻이 되겠다. 얼핏 듣기에는 좋은 말인데 사실 이런 작업을 하다 보면 기대한 성과보다 얼토당토 않게도 비전문가적 수준의 함정에 빠지기 쉽다는 것을 알게 된다. 필자의 경우 의대에서 녹을 먹으며 살고 학생들에게도 의과대학 과목을 가르치고 있는데 연구 분야는 소위 말하는 협동연구 학제간 연구 통섭적 연구라는 간판을 걸고 작업을 하다 보니, 항상 가장 두려운 것이 유사의학 (pseudo-medicine), 유사인문학 (pseudo-humanities) 수준에 머물러 그런 평가를 받게 되는 것이었다 할 수 있다. 지금 그 수준은 넘어선 것인지 아니면 거대한 유사학문.. 2023. 4. 20.
