‘세계도’에서 단종의 왕통을 입증한 ‘안동권씨 족도安東權氏族圖’


국립민속박물관에서는 1999년에 유물 상태는 열악했지만,

비단에 붉은 괘선으로 이어진 세계도世系圖를 공개 구입한 적이 있다.

2011년 보존 처리를 하면서 이 유물에 주목했는데, 개중에 눈에 들어온 이름이 ‘경혜공景惠公 권전權專(1371~1441)’이었다.

그는 문종비 현덕왕후顯德王后(1418~1441) 권 씨의 부친이자, 단종端宗(재위 1452~1455)의 외조부였다.

유물 상단이 거의 훼손된 상태에서 권전의 부친이 권백종權伯宗이라는 사실과,

우측면에 적외선 카메라로 희미하게 보이는 권희봉權希逢이라는 이름을 현존하는 족보 가운데 가장 오래된 안동권씨 성화보安東權氏成化譜에서 찾아보니,

이들의 관계는 형제가 아닌 권여온權呂溫의 사위이자 동서 사이였다. 

이를 통해서 이 유물은 단종 재위 동안(1452~1455) 혈통을 증명하기 위한 팔고조八高祖 가운데, 권여온을 기점으로 현손 단종을 포함한 내외 후손 기록이자, 단종 외조부의 외가[外曾外家]를 기록한 안동권씨 족도族圖로 드러났다.

30여 년의 박물관 생활 중 가장 짜릿하고 벅찬 순간으로 기억된다.

From Saegedo to Andong Gwonssi Jokdo that Confirms the Royal Bloodline of King Danjong

In 1999, the National Folk Museum of Korea officially acquired a segyedo(genealogy), drawn with red guiding lines on silk, despite its poor state of preservation.

During conservation work in 2011, researchers took particular note of the name Gyeonghye-gong, the posthumous title of Gwon Jeon (1371–1441).

He was the father of Queen Hyeondeok(1418-1441); consort of King Munjong, and the maternal great-grandfather of King Danjong(r.1452-1455). 

Although the surface of the artifact was severely deteriorated, researchers were able to faintly detect the name Gwon Hee-bong on its right side using an infrared camera. Based on the knowledge that Gwon Baek-jong was Gwon Jeon’s father, researchers studied the oldest extant genealogy Andong Gwonssi Seonghwabo (Andong Gwon Clan Seonghwa Genealogy).

They identified that Gwon Jeon and Gwon Hee-bong were not brothers but sons-in-law of Gwon Yeo-on, and thus brothers-in-law. 

Based on these findings, the artifact was identified as the Andong Gwonssi Jokdo (Andong Gwon Clan Jokdo), compiled during the reign of King Danjong (1452–1455) to verify his royal lineage.

As one of the palgojo system (eight-generation ancestral verification), it traces the descendants—both maternal and paternal—of Gwon Yeo-on, including King Danjong, and holds particular significance for documenting the maternal lineage of the king’s maternal grandfather.

This discovery was one of the most thrilling and moving moments in my 30 years of working at the museum.

저에서 보면 같은 권씨가 형제 관계가 아니라 사위이자 동서 사이였다는 언급이 보이거니와, 간단하다. 

극심한 근친혼 사회였기 때문이다. 
사위와 동서....

김유신은 김춘추의 사위이기도 했지만, 손위 처남이었다.

김춘추 아들 김법민한테 김유신은 손아래 처남이기도 했으며, 암튼 복잡한 콩가루다. 

저 안동김씨 초기 족보는 조선전기까지만 해도 극심한 근친혼 사회임을 증명하는 일급 문건이다.
