떠난 사랑을 상념케 하는 온양민속박물관

결혼 약속했다 떠난 옛날 애인이 각중에 떠오를 때 그에 격발하는 복잡미묘한 감정을 유발하는 그런 느낌이다.

때려죽이고 싶다가도 사무치도록 그리운가 하면 퍼뜩 돌아보니 늙어버린 회환이 주는 허무감, 그런 것들이 한꺼번에 솟음하는 그런 느낌을 나는 받는다. 

요컨대 시리도록 아름답다. 

오늘 온양민속박물관에서

3년전 오늘 4월 14일, 온양민속박물관에서 저리 썼다. 

제법 시간이 흘렀다 해도 바꿀 만한 대목은 없다.  

온양민속박물관溫陽民俗博物館 

온양에 있는 민속 전문을 표방하는 박물관이라 해서 이런 이름을 붙였다. 

박물관 자체가 소개하는 박물관 개요는 다음과 같다. 

우리 민속 문화는 우리 겨레 고유의 얼과 슬기가 담긴 삶의 바탕이며, 오랜 세월 동안 여러 문화와 부딪히면서 지켜온 겨레의 소중한 자산이다. 온양민속박물관은 유·무형의 민속자료를 체계적으로 수집·보존·전시하여 학술연구와 후세들의 교육 자료로 활용하며, 자랑스러운 전통을 계승하고 세계에 한국문화의 독자성과 우수성을 널리 알리기 위하여 1978년 구정(龜亭) 김원대 선생(1921~2000)이 설립하였다. 

온양민속박물관은 종합사립민속박물관으로서 전시, 교육, 워크숍 등 한국인의 전통생활문화사를 한 눈에 보고, 듣고, 체험할 수 있는 복합 문화공간이다. 전체 대지는 64,800m2에 전시관은 6,090m2의 규모로, 세 개의 상설전시실과 한 개의 특별전시실, 그리고 야외전시장으로 구성되어 있다.

그 영문 안내는 다음과 같다. 

Onyang Folk Museum was founded in 1978 by Won-Dae Kim (1921-2000) for the purpose of raising global awareness about the excellence and originality of the Korean culture. The Museum exhibits tangible and intangible Korean folklore objects and information, systematically collected and preserved, not only to enable academic research but also to pass down the heritage of our proud tradition to posterity. 

Onyang Folk Museum is the first private museum dedicated to Korean folklore. It is a cultural complex where visitors can encounter the Korean historical folklore objects and data – through educational exhibitions and firsthand experience programs – while taking pride in our rich and longstanding cultural heritage. The total complex of the Museum and its surrounding areas comprises 64,800km2 and the Museum alone covers 6,090km2, which consists of three permanent exhibition halls, one special exhibition hall and an outdoor gallery.
