전군殿君의 조건과 예외, 모계 혈통이 만드는 사자私子와 사녀私女 용수와 용춘의 전기가 모두 수록되었을 《전군열기殿君列記》는 그 명칭으로 보아 왕자들 열전이다. 《화랑세기》 전편에 걸쳐 등장하는 전군殿君은 원칙으로는 아버지가 왕인 왕자 중에서도 왕위 계승권에서 탈락하거나, 서자들을 말한다. 적통 왕자 중에서도 왕궁에 그대로 사는 왕자는 갈문왕에 책봉되었다. 하지만 여러 가지 이유로 출궁出宮하거나, 아버지가 왕위에서 쫓겨나거나 하면 그 격이 한 단계 떨어져 전군이 되었다. 왕들의 서자는 태어날 때 이미 전군이었다. 이것이 전군의 원래 의미다. 지증왕과 연제 부인 사이에는 법흥왕 원종原宗과 입종立宗 갈문왕 말고도 진종眞宗이라는 적통 아들이 한 명 더 있다. 진종은 《삼국사기》나 《삼국유사》 등지의 문헌에는 흔적이 남지 않았지만, 조선시대에 들어와 활발히 편찬되는 족보 중 .. 2023. 5. 15.
